Why not Garrett?

With Latham's demise, it appears the ALP will continue its policy of copying 
the Liberals and recycle an election loser as its "new" leader.

That would continue Labor's irrelevance in policy and leadership, resulting 
most likely in its coming a long second at the next election.

Unless, of course, someone emerges from the ALP wilderness to lead the party 
along a new and vibrant road. Come on down , Peter Garrett.
