Good morning and straight from the Editorial review's trashbasket, here's the Second reading review:

First of all, I have an excuse for the first. I was recovering from watching the finale of my TV's favorite show Survivor. I was feeling very depressed and hopeless about humankind.

When I heard Rob Hirst was writing a book about MO's last tour, I was expecting Midnight Oil Revealed. Well, Midnight Oil Revealed it's not. That's probably where my expectations were totally let down, hence the some-say-harsh review.

The trick for me was to read it again, this time forgetting it's written by Hirst or about the Oils. Then, it made for indeed pleasant reading. Rob writes extremely well, uses great images and excels in making his point subtly. I still think he brushes too lightly over many things, never going in depth over a subject or an event but I sure enjoyed it better the second time around. I'll raise it to 7.5 out of ten. And for those who were horrified by my first review, heh, I never said it was bad. I said "I" was disappointed.

All right, this can go back where it belongs.

Signing off with a flourish (and computer flourishes are VERY hard to do)
