I agree that Tool has a great drummer.  I think though if you ask most drummers who the best is, Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater would win running away.  I have seen Dream Theater so many times and am always amazed at Portnoy's playing.  He has some 30+ piece drum set has won the Modern Drummer magazine reader polls for something like the last 10 years or so.  

If you appreciate amazing drummers, try listening to Portnoy and DT.
