Maybe so, but the change in his appearance from the time he took office
to the time he left it was extraordinary, more than I think could be
explained by the natural course of years.  And don't believe that stuff
about kids aging you - they actually keep you young, if you have the
wisdom to listen to them!
 
Back to Carter, though - I have admired him for years, but never more so
than when he recently told the Southern Baptists they would just have to
do without him.  Here is a man who knows the difference between faith
and organized religion and took action to preserve the one when it
conflicted with the other.  Unbelievable. - Beth

Actually, weren't Carter's wrinkles hereditary? Seems to me his late
mother, Lillian Carter, had enormous wrinkles too, and she was never
president of the U.S. (Though all of you parents on the list will
probably chime in and say that kids age you more than constituents!)
