Rage Against the Machine, Bruce Springsteen, and Bad Religion are all 
pretty good examples of an oils-like band in the U.S.. I think a lot 
of the difficulty in finding an equivalent is that not only does MO 
have an aggressive political side, they also have a reflective 
spiritual side, which is not a common combination. Their sound also 
reflects their geographic roots, which again, is not common. So 
finding a band that fits all those criteria is pretty tough.
