Okay, for those of you who have seen the light...and any other
curious souls...
Jurriaan provided some good description, I thought I would jump in
with some song suggestions as I personally like to listen to stuff on
mp3 before buying, and choosing songs can be perplexing. You can find
NMA basically on any P2P program.
Here's a bunch of good ones:

Punky songs: Vengeance, Small Town England, 225 (woohoo!), Here Comes
the War, Get Me Out, The Hunt (love this one)
Folky songs: Better Than Them, Love Songs, 51st State, Vagabonds,
Purity (great one!)
Sorta general rock kinda stuff: No Rest, Stupid Questions, Killing
(awesome), Wonderful Way to Go
Gothicky Stuff: Lurhstaap, I Love the World (great one!)
Mellow: Lullaby
Wierd/Unusual: Refugee, The Charge (both highly recommended)

Okay, that should be a good start. The music is very melodic,
diverse, and often very intense/emotional. It's less "intellectual"
than the Oils and more like a gut reaction. The lyrics are often bold
and poetic, using a lot of metaphor and imagery.
The songs I gave here are mostly old (1980-1990) cause I don't know
their new stuff as well. I'm sure somebody else can help you out with
the newer stuff.
Again, let us know what you think!

Have fun,

Varina
