Personally I would say that the Oils have been one of the most 
influential, if not THE most, on me. 
But to have a contest to figure out the #1 most influential band is 
just ridiculous. Just a big silly stunt to attract listeners, really. 
Sorry to sound so cynical, but all those "greatest band 
ever..."  "greatest song of the century..." things don't do much for 
me. Who's to judge, really, anyway?
