I've been enjoying reading the lists of favorite bands.  How did you all 
only pick 15?  I have so many musical loves and influences, but  here's 
my 15 most favorite bands, singers, artists, etc (in no particular 
order, except for #1!):

8) Hot Tuna
9) Pink Floyd
10) Patti Smith
11) Soft Machine
12) Michael Hedges
13) Brian Eno
14) Bob Marley and the Wailers
15) Joni Mitchell

(oh, and Ozric Tentacles, King Crimson, Fred Frith, Santana, Sonny 
Sharrock.... )

This doesn't even touch all of the other music that I love to listen to 
- African (faves: Ali Farka Toure, King Sunny Ade, Babatunde Olatunji), 
Jazz, world music of all kinds. I must stop now, gotta find some music 
to listen to,
