hey, iīm forwarding an email my sister sent me a while
back, thought it was cool.  contains something she
found on the band Garbageīs website, about their lead
singer meeting Peter Garrett after a concert they gave
in Australia.  Shirley Manson comments on the
impression she got of Peter.  
Iīm really upset heīs leaving the band, but canīt help
but be curious to see what he does next.

so i was on garbage's home page procrastinating from
doing the physics i just threatened to shoot myself
over and i looked at the diaries and the very first
entry said this:

Tour Diary October 11th-17th NEW!!! 
Friday 11th 
Had a great show in Adelaide last night.The crowd were
pretty mellow at first but they eventually warmed up
and by the end of the show they were jumping around
and singing along with "Grow Up" as Billy Idol of all
people stood in the wings and watched! 
Billy Idol!!! Can you believe that?!?!?!?!? 
Hung out for a little while after the show with Aussie
legend Peter Garrett from Midnight Oil and couldn't
help but be completely charmed.He's so full of spirit
and irrepressible energy!!!! No small wonder that he's
managed to campaign so tirelessly and successfully for
enviromental interests.He could shift small mountains
with the life force within him.
