Yet another coincidence regarding the recent atrocity. Someone mentioned
this song in an email to me, (I don't think it was from this list). I
decided to let you read the lyrics.
It's by Neil Finn and is called Turn and Run. It's from his new album that
Jim Moginie plays on, One Nil (I always feel obliged to mention an Oils
link). It's a great song, but you can't help feeling he wrote it about the
World Trade Centre/Pentagon disasters. It was written last year sometime.
Regards
Stephen.

TURN AND RUN. NEIL FINN

Thereís a light overhead
overhead
In the sky overhead
overhead
And Iím with you now in body and music and mind
And weíre silent and still
Everythingís so out of control tonight
In a plane thatís flying fast
At a speed that makes me cry
Have you left me now
To trouble that wonít let me lie
Iím awake all the time
You know where I stand
Holding my plastic gun
So turn and run
You cold killers of innocence
Against us thereís no defence
Your flash and your wickedness
You canít break our love
Tie my hands behind my back
Put a gag on top of my mouth
But I wonít give you up
Till silverwareís covered in dust
And my shoes fall apart
And the tumbleweed runs
Over my desert heart
So turn and run
You cold killers of innocence
Against us thereís no defence
Your flash and your wickedness
Will surely bring you down again
Somehow we must stay afloat
Wonít give in to the undertow
Somethingís you will never know
You canít break our love
You can pull us down
But you canít break our love
