Been a member since the @colorado.edu days, I hate to see the group and the archive go away.
From a quick Google search it looks like a lot of groups are relocating to Groups.io (https://groups.io/) They have a process to copy "members, messages and other content from your Yahoo Group to your Groups.io group." Info on the transfer process: https://groups.io/static/transfer
