That’s the one!  My thanks to all who replied.  I still routinely listen to my original CD copy of Diesel and Dust, but found the remix on the remastered version jarring enough that I only listened to it a couple of times.

I didn’t buy any of the recent remasters in part because of this experience, but mostly because I had all the albums already and loved them as-is, and needed the $ for the Overflow Tank!

There was a song on the remastered version of Species Deceases that was also remixed a bit, wasn’t there?  Anyone care to comment on which track and how it turned out?  Any other sneaky remixes among the remasters?

That was Sell My Soul. Extra backing vocals in the intro and through the solo. Some more drums as well I think. Pretty much ruined the song IMHO.

Hello, Powderworkers!

When the 20th anniversary edition of Diesel and Dust came out (the one with the Blackfella/Whitefella DVD), it was all remastered audio, with one of the songs being slightly remixed as well. Could someone here confirm which track was slightly remixed? I think there’s a difference in background vocals or something like that, but I can’t remember which track it is on and I don’t have my copy of the CD handy.

Thanks,
Mike
