I love the new Tall Trees song, but unlike The Great White Shark, Pete hasn't released the lyrics.

I took a stab at it, and am hoping you all can keep this thread going, adding corrections. Words I had no idea about are in parenthesis. The rest is probably about 90% correct. Please help me, because I really like Peter Garrett's talented lyrics.

just as the tall tree stands unmoved by daily passion

Just as the sky's a roof that's over our head

Just as we never gave the shows of those discussion

There's no more rights to wrong, or meaning in our heads

All we ever needed, is in this place

I, I'm rolling back

Like a monk that's taking holy vows

A jump across the here and now, I'm back

Well, I, I'm rolling back

Like a Boeing safely landed

A vessel that's been stranded, I'm back

I found out kind of late

I found out kind of slow

No pride and circumstance the feelings that I show

I did some desert time, and slowing down the mind

And then I caught a wave to carry me back

All we ever needed, is in this place

I, I'm rolling back

Like a (cry?) boy with a lust for life

A cherry picker reaching ripe. I'm back

Well, I, I'm rolling back

Like a kingfish spittin' out that hook

I'm coming 'round for a second look, I'm back

I, I'm rolling back

Like an astronaut's moon landing

Like a swamp that you can't stand in, back

Yes I, I'm rolling back

(replete?) with all my ( fibers?) know

Catastrophe avoided, I'm back

Well I, I'm back

Like Mohammad Ali's punching bag

or Rupert Murdoch's latest swag

A (Councilist?) still listening

A prisoner's forgiven

A farmer pray and fall some rain

A block in existential pain

Like Genghis who was known as Khan

A pile upon the order

(exciters ?) Counting galaxies

A mother with more mouths to feed

Like a plain(?)  servant on the run

The (Baggie green?) Still chewing gum

the early morning rising sun

Built to last and born to run

A microsecond's worth of fact

I think I heard the starter's gun

I'm back

Yes I'm back
