With rumours of MO touring swirling about, here's another example of a pollie keeping their hand in the music scene...

With the budget sinking like a stone, and taking the government's standing in the opinion polls with it, it may come as no surprise that Treasurer Joe Hockey is keeping an eye on a career post-politics.

Harking back to his days in the NSW Young Liberals' party band, The Young Fogeys, Mr Hockey plays guitar in this track from prog-rock revivalists Days Between Stations. Once again showing he is not above wearing a novelty outfit to make a point (some may recall his donning of Shrek ears and doing a passable Shrek voice during an interview when last in government), here Mr Hockey wears angel wings in an attempt to soften his hardline image. His minders will be hoping this foray into music does more for his political career than Craig Emerson's Whyalla Wipeout did for Mr Emerson.
