We saw Good vibrations on Friday night - definitely worth a look. It tells the story of Terri Hooley, owner of Good vibrations record store in the heart of Bomb alley in Belfast in the late 70s. He ended up releasing lots of Belfast punk records on his own as the majors wouldn't touch them. The punk scene acted as a bridge between the Unionists and Republicans. Have to admit I'd never heard of him or most of the bands, but the songs really jump out the
speakers at you - eg
