You're probably right about how the majority remember them.

But you have a pretty big population over there, so I'd be surprised if the major cities couldn't muster a few thousand fans.

Certainly their last US tour shows them playing a few large venues and a few venues for 2 or 3 nights running.

That would be interesting.... Oils being offered a 'lot of money' to do a tour in a country that (generally) sees them as being a one-hit wonder (Beds) AND they did their last tour at real grass-roots level, on Liquid 8 Records, after their album was 'passed' by columbia / Sony US.
