Although I wholeheartedly agree with the view that it seems odd from a U.S. radio standpoint and being a harcore fan in a place that has LONG since forgotten, I can say that U.S. festivals pay completely garbage bands a lot of money to play, you would not believe the bands that are still making good money making the rounds so getting a high quality band would be something they certainly would also pay well for.

That would be interesting.... Oils being offered a 'lot of money' to do a tour in a country that (generally) sees them as being a one-hit wonder (Beds) AND they did their last tour at real grass-roots level, on Liquid 8 Records, after their album was 'passed' by columbia / Sony US.
