Well.  There's something I never knew.  He certainly didn't seem to rest on that laurel from my perspective, working pretty hard at it and he didn't talk up the connection.

Wow.  Sorry to hear that.

Shane was my "inside man" in the industry in the 90's.  He was the one who got me involved in Spies' first web-site and email list around 1994 and then got me a few back-stage passes at Oils shows later on around 97-99.

Shane at that time was an epically involved fellow at the ground level in all these bands' on-the-road operations.  It's no wonder the bands are keen to pitch in and help.

Hope it all goes well and Shane, if you see this message, here's to a full recovery.  You're a good man.

Cheers

I see that the Spies and Radiators and Mentals were also playing. Judging by the name of the evening, I'm guessing it was a tribute for a roadie. Any ideas who it was?

Snagged this link from Facebook ... a couple of our favorite musicians playing this past week in Sydney, performing a possibly familiar tune:

Of course, "Mark" looks suspiciously like Martin Rotsey ... fortunately Rob Hirst is still himself!

Great to hear them again!
