An interesting piece of Australian music history. “The Honey Island Project” signed CD. After leaving the Band in 1991 Cliff Grigg returned in 1997, recreating the original line-up of Craig Bloxom, Mike Weiley and Grigg. The band added a fourth member, Danny Bryan on keyboards and recorded the Honey Island Project. This album differs from the other spies album in that Weiley sings lead vocals (Bloxom was the bands lead vocalist for all of the other albums).

I obtained this at a Spies gig in late 1997 or early 1998 when it was being promoted as the new V Spy V Spy album and all four members of the new line-up happily signed. Since that time both Grigg and Bloxom have left the band and V. Spy V. Spy management have now stated that the album is not a V Spy V Spy album, rather it is Mike Weiley’s solo album that the other band member’s contributed to as guest musicians.

A rare and hard to find album and even rarer signed by all four players.
