Subject: [powderworks] Pud Down That Weapon b-side question

Hey, everyone!

The 7-inch "Put Down That Weapon" single had a rare Oils cover as a b-side:  A studio recording of "What's So Funny ('Bout Peace Love and Understanding)?"  I'm hoping that someone here has it and can answer a question for me.  Years ago somone sent me an mp3 of the song, and it's great, but the first 2 seconds are significantly louder than the rest of the song.  What I'm wondering is if that's the way it was recorded, or if my mp3 reflects a poor digitization of the source vinyl.  Anybody know?

Thanks,
Mike
