Hi,

We asked the band for permission to hand around personal recordings a few years ago, and a common-sense reply came back that it was ok to arrange and pass around any *non-commercial* recordings.  So bootlegs of live shows, where someone has taped a show using a personal tape recorder or the like are ok.

Two things are definitely off limits:
1/ Charging money for *anything*, probably even including postage, because then postage can be jacked up and contrived to be "not profit, postage" ... uh-uh.
2/ Passing on recordings of anything that a recording studio or commercial body can be expected to have claims on - original CDs, singles, rarities, TV or radio-broadcast materials.

Weeding live shows passed the basic test, given the above.  I have (almost) none of this stuff, so it's up to others to contact you.

Cheers

Hello All,
Hows it going?
I have been on this group before and just re-signed and I have a question. Is it okay to ask for live recordings on the board? I'm looking to getting '80's shows for my collection. Is there any organizing of CD-R tree's on this board?

Looking forward to your replies and meeting new friends.

Thank you for your time.
