Spot on, and I completely agree.

It's like the second horse winning the Melbourne Cup because the first horse at 100m breaks a leg.
It's like Australia II winning the America's Cup because the Yank Yacht hits a sea mine and sinks.
It's like buying a Big Mac only to find a Salad Roll in the bag.
It's like applying for an economics degree only to find yourself offered a place in a media and entertainments course.
It's like having Chrissy Amphlett tour as lead singer of Midnight Oil ... :o

I'd buy a ticket. But it wouldn't be what I'd have expected to happen.

Regardless, I think it would have been a nice SYMBOLIC gesture had the Australian people put their trust in a female leader.
