OK, I have no idea what the hell Mountains of Burma is about.  But listening to it in my car today, a line I've always loved jumped out at me - "Pelicans glide...miracles up in the sky."  I have loved birds since I got my first bird book as a child - we were living in Botswana at the time and the multitude of birds there was just awesome, including brown pelicans and white pelicans, both of which I saw in great numbers.  I've seen some pelicans since moving back to the states and they always take my breath away.  They truly are miracles.

Within the next day or two there is going to be an environmental disaster of catastrophic proportions on the Gulf Coast HITS.  I heard on the radio this is going to cause "devastating nest loss" for the brown pelican, a species just recently removed from the Endangered Species list here.  Only one of the victims, but the one that breaks my heart the most.

The only thing that could make this oil spill better would be if the Oils decided to do an impromptu gig on the back of flatbed truck in a large American city.  No chance of that, though.

Tucker box is empty now...hope you're light years away.
