Your points are all correct, of course.� Unfortunately Dime is searchable and public, and it does fall outside the original discussion had with the Office about media sharing, which was confined to "in-list weeding".
If there is a torrent host that is able to be made "private" I personally would see that as meeting the previous sanction, or if it can be lobbied that the torrent on Dime can somehow be controlled to within only PW members I can take that argument back to the O, but I wasn't immediately convinced and it seemed to be in the margins of the current sanction.
They're not choppy at about it at the Office, just wanting to keep a clear boundary around "inside Powerdworks".� If you (pl) can make a clear case that can restore their confidence, I'm happy to pass it on, or you can mail them directly.

that has reached the attention of The Office and is getting some frowns.

This is a good time for a reminder that the Oils' and Break's Offices
have approved distribution of ROIO (Recordings of Independant Origin -
personal concert tapings, personal video footage etc) within Powderworks
confines. So dispersal of any materials beyond PW and dispersal of
copyrighted works anywhere are things that have not been sanctioned.
