Yesterday afternoon, a brutal 7.0 quake struck Haiti near Port Au Prince, dealing yet another blow to the desperately impoverished and politically unstable country.� Widespread destruction and casualties are reported, with obliteration of much of the infrastructure needed to cope with it (collapsed hospitals, etc.).
�
One immediate way to help: Text "Haiti" to 90999.� This will send $10 to the Red Cross for Haiti Relief, direct from your cel phone bill. (verified by the US Embassy in Haiti)
