Since Wikipedia is open to edits, we could attribute extraneous esoteric instruments to each band member if we cared to as well.

Who gets the zither, the accordion, and the theramin?

Wikipedia is like asking directions from someone on the side of the road -
you'll probably get the general idea and it can be useful, but don't rely on
it 100%.

And of course if you don't think that bit is right, you can always remove
it!  The truth is probably that Pete occasionally played some bits and
pieces when Jim didn't have enough spare hands, which isn't really the same
thing as joining the band as a "vocalist and synth player".
