They actually were only delared under law to be human in the 1960's
and you could still hunt them in Tasmania at the turn of the century and get $2 a head.... "Truganini" was the last pure blood Tasmanian Aboriginal as i'm sure you all know. My first march at 16 was the Aboriginal march on Caneberra in 1980 to set up an Aboriginal Embassy,, which after about two days walking we got to Australias Parliment and sure enough they set up a tent on the front lawn and it was still there a few yaers ago the last time ichecked.
I was so impressed with the new Aussie prime minister last year when he actually apologised for all the horrific thing that had been done to them.
So again thanks for this it means a helluva a lot......
