And you're not allowed musical instruments... hopefully the bands will smuggle them in else it's going to be a very boring day! ;-)

you will be fine. the req to have the CC is for you to collect the ticket. if you have one, the ushers wont care. they have 50,000 people to let in and they wont have the time to ask people for proof of anything. they will be much more concerned that you dont bring in something they can sell you inside for twice the price

they will let you bring in bags (like a backpack of a reasonable size, not the 75L one you take on a 3 day hike), particularly if you are seated. stuff they will not let you in with is

- any liquids in an unsealed container
- alcohol
- any glass
- recording gear
- cameras with removable lenses
- anything that can be used as a weapon: plastic knives, umbrellas, ak-47s, ICBMs, etc

so you can bring in a change of clothes, a warm sweater, sandwiches, packets of snacks, etc

How could people get so unkind?

Subject: [powderworks] Ticketek

Dear Powderworkers:

Because I am unable to get a reply from the Ticketek folks, I would like to submit the question to you in the interest of sparing me some anxiety. I purchased a ticket using a friend's credit card (having none of my own) and the website claims that I must be the credit card holder to gain entrance. The thing is, I have the printable ticket so I don't need to stop by the box office to collect it. In other words, I assume I'm OK to get in. What do you think? I am living in Korea and have gone to great lengths, with no small amount of help from friends, to get to the Melbourne show. I will be devestated at having to stand outside the MCG because I don't have a credit card!
In addition: do you think we'll be allowed to bring a bookbag into the MCG with us? I am taking a change of clothes and have nowhere to leave them. Of course, I'd also like to purchase some MO merch, etc., and do not want to have to hold it the whole time I'm rocking out.

Cheers and many thanks,
Justin
