the story is now up on the Oils website. made some enquiries with contacts.
the 30 days is something that was negotiated between Sony & Apple to have
exclusive rights for a limited time which happens to be 30 days.
 
I was told that after this Sony will be having what there calling a
"campaign" on the Oils back catalogue ( as well as AC/DC) & will be
physically releasing the the re-mastered back catalogue which covers
everything from the Blue Meanie up to Species. diesel is already done as we
know & the rest is supposedly considered current day technology.
 
I was told that each album will more than likely be re packaged to include
possibly extra tracks ( unreleased material) or maybe live tracks or maybe a
DVD.
 
There is no actual release dates penciled in but they will be staggered over
a period of time. I guess you will see the first one between Oct - Dec in
time for the Christmas rush.
