On the BOBW DVD you get a couple of OK shots of Jim and Martin's
effects in Bernie and Powderworks. Martin has a Roland/Boss CE1
Chorus/Vibrato, and OD1 Overdirve but I can't make out the other one
or two items. Jim similarly has a Boss OD1, an Ibanez FL305 Flanger,
some sort of volume pedal and a couple of others I can't make out
(almost certainly a fuzz of some variety - maybe a 70s Big Muff but
I'm guessing.) Jim runs a small logo Marshall (60s/70s) head and cab
while Martin two 60s Vox AC30s. From what I've seen in pics and vids
this is all pretty standard fare for them at the time. My sources
(Sonics Feb '91) tell me Martin's Strat is a '62 and Jim's Gretsch Roc
Jet a '63. Feel free to correct me on any of this. Always happy to
talk early Oils gear.

Hi everyone
I was wondering if anybody knows what type of gear Martin and Jim used
back in the early days?
I know that Martin used a 1960's something Fender Stratocaster and Jim
played a 1970's Gretsch Roc Jet.
I would like to know what kind of effect pedals were used, especially
around the time of the Capitol Theater gig's?
