Ah, thanks for clarifying that Jeff. I knew that, somewhere in the back of
my brain, just slipped up when I was writing that last night.
Basically, the digital version has less noise, better colour reproduction,
and doesn't suffer from a slight offset between audio and video (did anyone
else notice that?). I also think the audio is a little bit cleaner.

To everyone else: Offer is closed, discs should be going out on Thursday.
I'd ask those who took up the offer to re-offer to the list if they think
this version is an improvement, so you should look for more offers in the
near future.

Hi all,

I've put together a DVD from the digital capture provided by
Barry (by the way Barry, if you object, just say so and I'll
pull the offer).
While I realise this may cause confusion, with the VHS
transfer DVD also circulating, having compared the two, I'm
convinced this version is superior.

Just to clarify, as I know there are people out there who care greatly
about
lineage and such things: my version which is circulating was recorded
direct to my PC hard drive from the analog broadcast signal. So it's not
really accurate to describe it as a VHS transfer (to me at least that
implies recording it to a VHS tape then transferring that to the
computer),
as it's better than that but presumably it's still a step below a digital
capture quality-wise.
