dang sticky keys
Now that I've pissed everybody off-
here's my top 5
Earth Abides by George R Stewart
classic 50's pre- sci fi. The book's premise and some of the grislier bits turned up later in a best seller by a fellow who's name starts with Stephen Ki
The Unusual Life of Tristan Smith by Peter Carey
one main charachter I can really identify with.
The Fresco by Sherri Tepper
or any of her books, really
Capricornia
which no-one has mentioned. By the time I was thoroughly disgusted with this book, I realized I couldn't stop reading it because I actually cared about the people in it.
Which just leaves room for what I'm reading now.
go to www.unequalprotection.com
book excerpts are free- and I for one will never haul myself through the whole thing. What bugs me is that I've got one line of a song keeps running through my head as I read this, and I can't remember which song it is.
have a happy long weekend,
Jess
