I *was* wondering, because I thought the only person "above" the prime 
minister was the governor general, who is the Queen's representative. Hadn't 
given too much thought to the title of the folks who head state governments 
(and yep, they're states not provinces).

Ah well, some governors of U.S. states *act* as if they're "premiers"!
