Jonathan, yea it seems I got a little over zealous with that statement.
Immediately I got remarks like who the hell do you think you are. I replied
and apologized to any worker that I offended so I hope you read all my post
not just that one. After all you guys are my peeps so no hard feelings. It
did seem to bring out some emotion in people which is always nice. I learned
from the responses I was wrong. I admit I was surprised to hear some people
got into the oils first form the other aspects of the band and pete was
secondary. There were allot of people that did agree with me though, and
said it was Pete's voice and charisma that got them initially hooked on the
band. I wonder if these differences in why people were attracted to the
band have to do with age. In this I mean I was like 9 or ten when I got into
the oils and there was no way I would recognized or appreciated a good
drummer or guitarist at that age, I don't think I would known the
difference. The first oil song that I heard and got me was Beds and it was
Pete's voice that stood out to me first. The chorus also impressed the hell
out of me but it was right at the intro I was hooked. You know, out wheaar.
Maybe if I had gotten into the oils at an older age I would have appreciated
the other aspect of the band first and then gotten into pete's voice. I know
musicians that speak very highly of the harmonies, song structure, great
drumming and guitar works so I can understand this opposed opinion better
now.

Anyway good hearing from you and I look forward to hearing more.

Take care,
Sebastian
