Those 3 are on the favourites list I posted earlier. It's a funny old world.
I think it's amazing that the Oils attract such a diverse following. I mean, someone like Metallica will have mainly heavy metal/hard rock fans. You can divide Oils fans up by the albums/songs they like.
We have the Redneck Wonderland fans, whose music collection will probably be made up of rockier bands.
We have the Breathe fans, who probably like country and western and singer songwriter acoustic performances.
We have the Red Sails in the Sunset fans who also like Marillion and Yes.
I could go on, but you get the gist.
I love all Oils songs like they were my kids, and choosing one for a worst (I prefer to say, least best) is heartbreaking. I swear if the Oils covered I should be so lucky, I'd be the first in the queue (that's a line to our stateside friends) to buy it.
BUT, if pushed I would have to say the least best Oils track is 'One too many time'. Sounds like a country and western song, and I think if it was replaced on Breathe with I see you, you would have a more representative Oils album. I love Breathe, but One too many times, spoils the mood the rest of the album creates.
See ya
Stephen
