Excellent show. Had some really wild interviews on it with some of the
Aussie legends of the time (Angels, Oils, Diviynls, Rose Tattoo, Do Re Mi,
Spy V Spy, Hunters and Collectors, Hoodoo Gurus (damn their have been some
fine Aussie pub rock bands) etc). The clips were very cool, probably one of
the coolest things about the show was that it was so parochial, that was the
time when Oz Pub Rock rued the airwaves ;-). Rob went off, the show always
started with Rob drumming on the coast overlooking the sea, from memory the
kit was a red and white one and Rob wore his pink overalls. They loved the
Oils on that show and we got a heap of live clips off it, most of the stuff
they played was from the Cap Theatre gig but they had the odd gem from
elsewhere plus all the clips that the Oils had put out. Not only was it a
music show though, it often had stories that dealt with issues that the kids
of the day were dealing with (things like sexuality, drugs,
conservation/nuclear disarmament even masturbation - I remember a show where
they were talking to Angry Anderson (lead singer of Rose Tattoo) and he said
somethig like "Yeah I love to have a wank, in the toilet all the time doing
it...just let the missus know that it's got nothing to do with her and it in
no way reflects her performance, and then off you go").

Unfortunately I don't have any of the stuff I taped off it left, you might
be able to talk to the bods at the ABC or the Australian Sound and Film
Archive to get a copy.

Thanks for the memories ;-)

Cheers

Dazza
