Of course Jim and Martin deserve a mention in this society, their problem is them playing in an "obscure" band... 
Some of my favourite guitarists make the list, like Brian May, Mark Knopfler and Robbie Krieger - but where the heck is JOHN FOGERTY?!? Unbelievable. Other ones I miss are Dave Davies of The Kinks (well, maybe just because I'm a big fan but sure he's damn great) and Mike Oldfield.
