Jim was right in his assessment of the people around him.
They were pretty sedate in the front line where Jim was.
They also seemed more intent on getting up front.There was 
this huge guy to his left (that other people warned us about 
on the list) who looked like a big vulture perched over his left 
shoulder waiting for a drumstick. Jim was in front of Peter under 
the microphone stand and didn't look back-he had the perfect view.
I can't believe how cool he was when that drumstick flipped toward him 
and he caught it. he had at least two people reaching over him.

The rowdies were in the center about halfway back in the floor area.
If you interviewed 6 people at a concert, you'd get 6 different responses...
